That's right. That's precisely the point. And the vast majority of Islamic people are not terrorists. Other than their religious beliefs, they're no different from anybody else.Jun wrote:The vast majority of terrorist deaths around the planet are from Islamic terrorists.
I'm sorry, but I just don't see ostracizing millions of people because a few radical elements are terrorists. By that logic, the world ought to ban all American citizens because a few Americans walked into a movie theater and shot up the place. I fail to see a significant difference.
I do, however, believe if people choose to live in a country and culture different from their own, then they should make an effort to at least embrace the culture rather than trying to lead totally separate lives in a world of their own.
What would you do about people who were born and raised in the UK, are UK citizens, but they are also Islamic and dress in Islamic style. If they shouldn't be allowed to live where they were born and have been citizens from birth, what then? Deprive them of their rights? Deport them - to where? Get the cattle cars ready?
If you fear Islamics, then the last thing you would want to do is force them to stop wearing their outfits. After all, how else are you going to identify them? 6-pointed star armbands - or in this case crescent moon and star armbands?
Whatever the answer is, persecuting an entire religion and culture based on the actions of a few isn't it.
