They usually have some sort of warning system in place and manage to skedaddle before immigration arrives. I wonder what happened this time.

I take it you've never had any desire to see the show at Tiffany's then...555
Ladyboy entertainers are part of the fabric of Thailand...what makes Thailand so much different from other places...and one of the things that amazed me most when first coming here.
They are great fun to be out with...always the life of the party...great party hosts...and almost always great in bed.
Your choice if they turn you off, but I wouldn't wait around for the bars to stop hiring them. because that day will never come.
This is Thailand!

Re: Bar Reports
I should have guessed.

The fact that you are probably right doesn't mean I have to like it . . .
Re: Bar Reports
Last week I was told that both Sun Bar & PP Bar had been raided. Perhaps PP bar found a better solution to the problem than the other.
I had never visited Sun Bar in it's current location.
A few years ago, it was one of those bars that played the music so loud that it even made sitting at adjacent bars unpleasant. At the time, I would have been glad to see the closure of that.
However, the noise situation seemed to improve when they installed the glass front and doors. But I still never went in.
I visited PP Bar with another board member earlier in the year. This was quite a large bar for the number of people present. The staff behind the counter seemed more interested in applying their make up than serving customers. The bar might benefit from gaining staff from Sun Bar.

Absolutely agree 100%. They are part of the cultural fabric of gay Thailand and deserve to be wherever they are placed...Dodger wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2026 1:05 pmI take it you've never had any desire to see the show at Tiffany's then...555

The way the culture has made room for them at just about every level from Muay to MP never ceases to amaze me. As the centrepiece in a box of luscious chocs just pick another... LOL

Re: Bar Reports
Are they? Meanwhile I see stories just like this several times a week, but almost never with non-ladyboys. And ladyboys are also almost always the ones we see stories about robbing, assaulting, and stealing from foreigners along Beach Road.
If they are such great fun have a good time, but include me out. I would no more want to go out with them than I would with any of the Indian tourists in Pattaya.
Caveat emptor . . .

Swedish Man Assaulted by Transgender Woman in Pattaya, Flees and Seeks Medical Help
By Adam Judd
March 22, 2026
A Swedish man sustained injuries after being physically assaulted by a transgender woman in the Jomtien area late on March 21st, according to rescue workers and the victim’s account.
At approximately 2:49 a.m. on March 22nd, the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Rescue Center received an emergency call requesting assistance for an injured person at a residence located at Moo 13, inside Wat Thammasamakkhi Soi 3.
Upon arrival, rescue volunteers found the victim, identified as Mr. Magnus, 59, a Swedish national, waiting outside the accommodation. He was reportedly in pain with swelling on his head and lacerations on both knees. First aid was administered on site before he was transported to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
According to a friend of the victim, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the incident happened earlier in the evening. Mr. Magnus had been drinking at a beer bar in the Rompho Market area of Jomtien. After finishing, he rode a motorcycle back toward his accommodation.
Along the way, he encountered a transgender woman sitting in front of a massage shop who flagged him down, engaged him in conversation, and invited him to continue socializing. When the tourist declined, an argument ensued. The woman allegedly struck him on the back of the head with her hand, causing him to fall from the motorcycle. She then reportedly kicked him in the legs while he was down.
Fearing for his safety, Mr. Magnus abandoned the motorcycle, fled the scene on foot, and arranged alternative transport back to his residence. Once there, he contacted his friend for help, who in turn alerted rescue services.
Rescue personnel transferred the injured man to the hospital for comprehensive medical care. After his condition stabilizes, he is expected to file a formal complaint with investigators at Pattaya City Police Station to initiate an official investigation and pursue legal action against the assailant.
This is not the first case with transgender women in the news for the wrong reasons recently in Pattaya.
A large group of transgender women went viral for brawling near Walking Street as reported here.
A Japanese tourist in Pattaya was reportedly recently attacked with a pair of scissors by a transgender woman who was later arrested, as reported here.
Just a few days prior police arrested another transgender woman for an attack on a German tourist and robbery from a Korean tourist
In another viral story, two naked transgender women chased an Indian tourist near Pattaya Beach after a payment dispute for
companionship services.
A viral video of a transgender woman just released from jail attempting to pickpocket a foreign tourist on Second Road was also reported here.
A transgender woman was also arrested in Pattaya for a robbery of a Chinese tourist, as reported here.
A Japanese tourist also reported being robbed and assaulted by a transgender woman in Pattaya as noted here.
All of these issues took place within the past several weeks.

Re: Bar Reports
Yes, there are plenty of crazy ladyboy low-lifes out there, there's no denying that, but there's also a fair share of low-life foreigners who visit scenes like Pattaya and Bangkok who commit similar legal infractions on a regular basis. Just last week there was a reporting of two half-naked ladyboys beating the crap out of some farang on Beach Road for not paying them the agreed upon tip after services were apparently rendered. So it works both ways.
If you ever talked to a ladyboy they'd tell you right away that the Arabs and Indians are the worst when it comes to being stiffed out of a tip. And it doesn't take much to imagine the amount of the verbal abuse those working Beach Road and Walking Street receive from drunk low-life foreigners who are in abundance.
Most of the ladyboys who work as entertainers and bar hosts on the popular gay scenes are almost always genuine down-to-earth jai dee girls/boys with a earned reputation for being the catalyst for creating fun atmospheres. And rarely, if ever, do you hear about one of these ladyboys committing these types of crimes.
If you've never partied with a ladyboy you don't know what you're missing.

Re: Bar Reports
I'm in no hurry to find out either. I also don't know what I'm missing with parachuting, bungee jumping and a whole range of other activities. It can stay that way.
I've had a lady boy visit my room just twice in all the years I've been visiting Thailand. That was a Lao boy I knew before he had the conversion done. He was delightful before the modifications, but his attitude changed afterwards.
Actually, I have nothing against lady boys.
What I do dislike is their persistent casting as the star attraction in gay shows, almost without exception. As I see it, the real boys should be second to no one.
The shows that avoid this problem are at M Bar (100%) and Sunee Bar (mostly). The latter can suffer from excessive noise levels, but with ear plugs ir would be good.
