Just as Jun wrote before about the boys he knew, all the Cambodian boys I know used to be here legally and doing visa-runs. But nowadays I don't know and wouldn't want to ask them. Because I have noticed that asking anything about Cambodia now makes them uneasy so it's a sensitive issue. One of the Cambodians even tried to tell me "I'm Thai!" when I asked, forgetting he already told me in the past that he's Cambodian. I'm just happy most of them are back, and my experiences with Cambodian boys have been almost all good.
Impact of The Border Conflict on Bar Boys

I always ask about visas, but the boys have the option of not answering.
One never talked about it & he's currently banned from entering Thailand, after immigration caught him a couple of years ago. I gather that's for about 5 years.
Another tells me he's in Thailand illegally & was caught once by immigration & then released. That must be expensive.
Some have passports full of stamps.

There are very few Cambodians in Jomtien now. I'm missing them. Whilst the Lao boys I know are friendly and reliable, all the funniest moments have been with Cambodians.
Fortunately, my favourite Cambodian is still here, but the others I know are back in Cambodia. They're not happy about it either. One flew in and got 60 days, but that's already up.
There are, of course, agencies offering a VIP service at the airport, but how effectively they grease the wheels is unclear.

The cambodian boys had started to return to the bars in Boyztown and Jomtien complex, but just as Jun wrote - for what I can see they have almost all left again.

I don't blame them. The goings on are probably quite frightening to be Cambodian boys within Thailand, especially if they are of military eligibility age and the conflict rapidly escalating and soldiers being killed.

Well Suk posted rather distasteful video on FB. It appears to show a row of military coffins, from the other side and he's superimposed himself dancing in front of it.
I shall omit the link.
This is quite remarkable output, from someone who spent a few years working in Thailand and might just want to do so again. Also, does he have no Thai friends?
The Cambodians I actually chat to seem much more respectful. They're either still in Thailand or can't wait to get back.

Well, one of my Cambodian acquaintances phoned and persuaded me to visit Cambodia. The 7th time here.
I can't think of a better time to visit. The "legal" boys who were doing border runs to Pattaya are in Cambodia.
Therefore, for finding boys in Cambodia, it's better than it has been for over a decade.
Also, parts of Cambodia are much more refined than Pattaya. Admittedly that's not setting the bar too high!
If one or more of your friends are stuck in Cambodia , pay them a visit.
