Central Marina
Central Marina is a renovated Central Center in North Pattaya. It is very nicely done with a separate food area with some nicer restaurants. It is worth a visit.

It is the former Central Festival just past Alcazar on Second Road.

Re: Central Marina
I see. That goes to show how long it's been since I've been in that area. I had no idea Central Festival was changing anything or now it's a 'former' Central Festival, Central Center, or whatever. I rarely go to that area of town anymore only because, due to the tunnel construction, from there it's a pain for me trying to go home to "The Dark Side," but now you've got me interested.

And, just north of that is the future location of Terminal 21. On the corner of Second and Pattaya North, so says the sign. For those not familiar with Terminal 21 it's an up market mall designed like a airport terminal or transportation center. There's one in Bangkok at Asoke.

Thanks, but I will need a LOT of persuading.....Trongpai wrote:For those not familiar with Terminal 21 it's an up market mall designed like a airport terminal .

Do you have to go through the equivalent of airport security to shop there . . . ?Trongpai wrote:it's an up market mall designed like a airport terminal or transportation center.

I live pretty much next door to Terminal 21 in Bangkok (Asoke). I wouldn't call it up market (by Bangkok shopping mall standards); I think the essence of their concept is to sell affordable clothes and accessories by up and coming local designers in what is basically a theme mall that has street market like stalls. They do have some of the usual brand name stores as well, but unlike some of the luxury malls they aren't limited to or even dominated by them. That reflects well on the customers they attract, in my opinion, for the most part they are far less pretentious than at other nearby shopping malls.
