The Electoral College doe-see-doe ...

Post by Smiles »

This could be a bragging-rights game. A little fun for wannabe amateur prognosticators. Let's see who gets it closest.
The election happens a week from today.

Here's the interactive map (thanks to the 'Los Angeles Times'). Just click on any state you wish to change into a Clinton win or a Trump win. As you change the colours the bar above the map changes and becomes an Electoral College vote tally.

I just created my map, the results of which I think could reasonably come to pass. A tally of 270 automatically crowns the new King/Queen.

HILLARY CLINTON: 345
DONALD TRUMP: 193

Isn't the idea of this thread that people post their own predictions?

Yep... it's a way of sharing our predictions for electoral college results... My prediction is posted above...

Major movement in polling since FBI reopening the Hillary E-mail corruption case drawing increased support for Trump in swing states....

With more Wiki leaks to be released in coming days up to election day exposing the inner Hillary campaign to lies and deception... corruption too.

FBI investigation ramped up with Hillary Campaign and Clinton Foundation Pay to Play corruption with Hillary at State Department.

Here's the latest Real Clear Politics Electoral Map

Hillary 273
Trump 265

Yes, using the interactive map as a tool.

I'll try to clarify what I mean:

If it's your own prediction, specify that in your post. If it's a prediction from a media source or directly influenced from a media source, include a link to the source. If it's a combination of the two, specify that in your post and include a link to the source.

That way we'll know how you arrived at your prediction.

What I'd like to see is Hillary Clinton 548 electoral votes, Donald Trump 0 electoral votes. Of course, that's not a prediction, but definitely wishful thinking . . .

The link is in Smiles' opening post. You go to the LA Times website and choose the way to believe individual states will vote on an interactive map. The site automatically calculates your choices and produces the results. The user becomes the source.

TravelerJim deservedly gets bragging rights on this one. The electoral college end result was 290 for Trump vs 232 for Clinton . . . TravelerJim had it as 288 (Trump) vs 250 (Clinton). One can only say 'good call'.

The unspoken and unknowable part of this big win ~ 'big' because of the Republican wash in both The House and the Senate ~ is the much more important future of a Trump administration: TravelerJim thinks Trump is the annointed Savior of America ... I think Trump is a raging know-nothing lunatic lowering a new iron curtain of anger and bigotry around the borders of America. TravelerJim thinks he's a breath of fresh air ... I think he's clueless on every level possible.

Let's see what happens.
