Once again, it is not a matter of choice! The Pope has vacillated on these issues more than once. From "Who am I to judge?" to sermons about marriage being one man/one woman. Now transgenders. For someone who feels it is not his place to judge, he sure is judgmental, not to mention hypocritical when you consider the priesthood as the biggest brothel known to history.
Now he wants to take women and make them priests (deacons). I was taught as a child by nuns and consider this a very real possibility. No one struck fear into the hearts of children and adults like a woman in black wielding a paddle or yardstick. Corporal punishment is not merely physical harm, it is also intimidation that scars for life the attitudes of young people growing up in a suspicious world. What better army to control the faithful masses than from those of sexless beings? Talk about transexual, these women have identified with no sexual roles at all. Asexual. But of course, choosing God IS a matter of choice. With that as a standard, it's no wonder this world is so screwed up.

Once they've cleaned up the priesthood (= not in a million years), I might be inclined to listen... Or maybe not even then, but that would be my minimum requirement.
