Good news for Doc Martin fans

And I'm a major Doc Martin fan. Doc Martin and Fawlty Towers are two of my all time favorites. I received the following today in an Email:

January 19, 2016: There have been rumors that the critically acclaimed dramedy series Doc Martin might not be back for an eighth round. The good news is that ITV has just announced the renewal of the award-winning series for another run, slated to be released next year. The bad news is that it will be the final chapter for the long-running series. As series seven was just launched for the American fans, the British audiences might find solace in the fact that the writing team will have enough time to wrap up the story in a meaningful manner and give the fans some closure.
