Re: Pussy gets free ride!
When I flew, you were supposed to walk around the aircraft and inspect it. This is disturbing in that the flight was recorded for unknown reason and the angle and scope appears to be optimal for the appearance of the cat at the upper right. There is sufficient circumstantial evidence among the plethora of youtube video posters seeking fame and glory to think this may have been staged. I doubt very much there is a union for daredevil kitty cats. I take the welfare of animals seriously, more than most people I guess, especially cats.

. . . most probably not.thaiworthy wrote:I doubt very much there is a union for daredevil kitty cats . . .
But, what about human stowaways on aircraft and other modes of transport? Hardly a week goes by without a news item concerning one or more desperate individuals fleeing their homeland. Last week a couple of men stowed away on a flight from South Africa, one fell to his death from the undercarriage landing on a roof somewhere. Today there was a strike in France that blocked the Channel tunnel train service - desperate would-be illegal immigrants to Britain were hoping to capitalise on the chaos by stowing themselves away on a vehicle. We've had illegal immigrants coming into Britain by boat hidden in huge containers. There are thousands gathered in north Africa, particularly Libya, hoping to cross the Mediterranean on flimsy boats, totally dependent on a smugglers' whim.
Back to the pussy getting the free ride, apart from said feline I don't know why they bothered to record that. There is no reason I can think of, it's a boring short flight in a tiny plane, it could just as easily be on a glider. I mean, if it hadn't been for the cat, would the occupants even bother to watch the recording of such a mundane flight? I doubt it. Maybe these routine flights are recorded nowadays just in case; we often see recordings made of goings-on on the roads in Thailand, what fun! I suppose if you have a camera on your dashboard you want to think you'll capture some exciting footage, some maniac carving you up or an example of general Thai loony-ness about which there is no shortage of horror stories.
