Thank you lvdkeyes and the same to you.

Just a little history lesson to some.

Second Amendment - Bearing Arms

Amendment Text | Annotations

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

.......However, the Supreme Court has now definitively held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that weapon for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. Moreover, this right applies not just to the federal government, but to states and municipalities as well.

I am in favor of strict gun control too, but that seems to be a topic totally separate from simply wishing Americans a happy Independence Day. Feel free to start a separate topic about gun control if you wish.

In the meantime, I just may celebrate the 4th with a 5th . . . And I may need to - I spent my Independence Day going through oral surgery!

As long as we're celebrating American Independence Day, I thought this might be a good time to present some "Only in America."
