Thammasat University has officially opened its new Buddhist Art Gallery at the Pattaya Campus, located within the Eco Hotel by Thammasat on Highway 36. The gallery invites visitors to experience the beauty and spiritual depth of Buddhist art in a serene setting.
The gallery is open daily from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with no holidays, making it easily accessible for both local residents and tourists. Visitors can explore a diverse collection of sacred objects, including Buddha images, amulets, divine figures, and other works of Buddhist artistry.
To mark the opening, the gallery is offering auspicious gifts for 90 days starting from Visakha Bucha Day, May 31. These include:
• Somdej Wat Rakang amulets, “Twin Merit and Prestige” edition
• Bottled holy water consecrated in a grand blessing ceremony
The consecration ceremony was presided over by Somdet Phra Maha Thirachan, Abbot of Wat Pho in Bangkok, together with ten senior monks. A total of 20,000 bottles of holy water have been prepared, while the limited-edition amulets are available in only 1,500 pieces.
The Buddhist Art Gallery aims to be more than just an exhibition space. It is envisioned as a place of worship, cultural appreciation, and spiritual enrichment for individuals and families alike. Visitors can pay respects, admire the artistry, and receive blessings that symbolize peace and prosperity.
