Apartment rental sites

Hi, I did a search but, everything is old here (including me). What suggestions for apartment rental sites would you suggest? Is there a better way than these sites to find a place? I intend on doing the "Dodger" method of finding an inexpensive studio and remodeling it. I intend on living there only 6 months a year but, renting it for the entire year
