Grab App……All it can do!
Sometimes you just don’t feel like going to the supermarket to get something. Well you don’t have to leave your home. Check the app for the store you want, search the product you want, and a Grab driver delivers it to you. You can also send local documents and do a return trip same for small packages. I have done all but the package option and I can’t be happier with the service.

That is good to know. I've only used Grab for restaurant delivery.
Is there a minimum purchase amount requirement for supermarket delivery? From your post I gather you get to select which market to purchase from. Also, what are the payment options - cash on delivery? Prompt Pay?
Most large supermarkets have their own delivery. I believe most of them have a minimum 1000 baht purchase requirement.

No minimum, I use the cash option however, it always says prompt pay will be available for your next order, may say that but haven’t seen it yet. I’ve also used them to deliver a document to an agent and the same driver returned it to me signed.

According to Google:
"Grab is not available everywhere in Bang Saray, but it is available in nearby major areas like Pattaya. While Grab operates in larger cities such as Pattaya and Bangkok, its service is less consistent in smaller areas like Bang Saray, where you may have to wait longer for a ride or may have more success finding a ride-sharing service like Bolt."
Re: Grab App……All it can do!
Both Grab and Bolt are available in Bang Saray.
We don't use these often, but when we have in the past both are reliable...cheap... with minimal wait-times.

That's more often than I was expecting !
I think the last time I ate delivered food at home was around 1992, when ordering pizza with some friends in the UK.
If I'm not cooking myself, I believe in eating out rather than having delivery. However, perhaps it's time to experiment on the next stay in Jomtien.

Especially if you want food from Thammachat without having to trek to get there.
Re: Grab App……All it can do!
The Grab delivery would probably cost considerably more than the food for one person. Which puts me off.
However, comparing withe other vegetarian options in Jomtien, it will probably be both better and cheaper.
So I firstly need to remind myself to be rational & compare the options that are available !
I may also need to learn which dish is which. I just point to the ones I like at the counter in the restaurant.

Re: Grab App……All it can do!
I don't know where you're getting that from. I have never been charged a delivery fee of more than 20-50 baht, even when I'm receiving a delivery from Jomtien, which is quite far from my location. The Grab app tells you the delivery fee and some restaurants even offer free delivery. The food itself is always the same as the restaurant menu price and often discounted below the restaurant menu price.
Don't you think you ought to check that out before making a assumptions about prices?
