I was just booking my travel Insurance.
Whilst searching for a policy, I found:
1 For single trip policies, the lowest quote on "Compare The Market" was about 13% below the lowest on "Moneysupermarket.com". Both are comparison websites.
2 A "backpackers" policy was significantly cheaper than a single trip policy on Moneysupermarket.com. Barely over half the price.
3 I actually booked direct with LV. They were only slightly more expensive than the cheapest policies on the comparison sites. Worth the extra, as I've heard of LV and have read the small print on their travel policies before.
LV stated
"The maximum trip length we will cover is:
366 days if you're under 65 years of age
90 days if you're between 65 and 79 years old
31 days if you're aged 80 or over"
A 90 day limit would be a bit restrictive. Fortunately I have a few years to go before reaching 65, but what insurance providers do older members use ?
