Buying ED Medication

My "sources" tell me that:
1 If you go into Boots & ask for Viagra, the answer will typically be "no have".
2 A lot of the independent pharmacies will have something. However, if a farang asks for something like Sidegra, they will price this at 2~3 times the correct price.
3 Such independent pharmacies often store such medication in what amount to "hiding places", which is suspicious.

In my opinion, a good way to buy safe ED medication at a sensible price would be to:
(A) Go into Bangkok drugstore, near Sala Daeng, Bangkok & ask for Sidegra.
(B) Since Bangkok Drugstore are often not open, head to one of the first pharmacies up Rama IV & ask for Sidegra
(C) Order Sidegra online from Bangkok Drugstore
(D) If buying a Cialis type product, I'd probably go for something like Apcalis. Supposed to be made by Ajanta pharma. My hypothesis is anyone producing fakes will fake the recognised brand, not clones.
But surely Sidegra is the safest option ? Even if users do need to remember to take it in time.

In the case of (A) and (B), when asking, I would say "do you have this" and show them the Sidegra page on the Bangkok drugstore website (with price). This avoids confusion and more importantly, demonstrates that you know what the product should cost.
Which helps them to quote the correct price, rather than a farang price.

Hell would freeze over before I buy anything from street vendors or on the beach. Some are blatant fakes & it goes without saying that I have no idea at all what they put in it.

No doubt someone will say you shouldn't take this without a prescription. Well, 50mg Viagra does not require a prescription in the UK.

Thanks Jun for the detailed reply. I’ve posted on the Reddit forums asking for which pharmacy may sell authentic viagra.

I won’t be in Bangkok anytime soon, and I don’t order stuff online. So I’ll keep looking here in Pattaya.

I went to Boots in the mall earlier and they said they don’t have it. I would think it would be authentic from them if they had it. There was one next to them, Watsons?, but I needed to catch my shuttle.

Just don’t mix alcohol with it, as it can dangerously lower your blood pressure. Of course check with doctor. I’ve been using it for years but my cardio is pretty good.

Probably the dumbest thing I’ve done is using the fake stuff.

The patents have expired on Viagra and Cialis.

So why not look for a legitimate generic, as you would with most other off patent products, like Paracetamol ?
The obvious one is Sidegra, Made in Thailand. Link Below.

Who is going to bother faking that when the official price is so cheap ?
I reckon there's less risk buying that than buying anything else.

Incidentally, today I went for my flu jab at Superdrug, which is a UK competitor to Boots.
Whilst checking in, I noticed Viagra on sale & took a photo.
The price for 4 x 50 mg was £22.99, equivalent to 1009 baht !!!
The Superdrug own brand was £26.99 for 8 x 50mg, ie 1184 baht, or 592 per 4.
In Thailand, Sidegra 4 x 50 mg = 100 baht (if priced correctly).

I respect the right of drug makers to make high margins when a drug is on patent. Once the patent has expired, it's a different matter.
Anyone who visits Thailand has no reason to pay the daft UK prices.
