Great report: Written so an idiot like me at finance could actually understand it.
The projection looks good especially for the short-term.
Funny how U.S. interest rates can have such an impact on a country on the other side of the globe...
Foreign investors started waning on Thailand the minute they shifted alliance from the U.S. to China a few years back. Nobody on the business-front wants to play here anymore. I knew this would come back to haunt them in the long-run.
Let's go "37.5"...works for me.

USA financial problems impacting the entire world certainly is not unprecedented. Perhaps the best example is what happened to the world in 1929 when the US stock market crashed and caused the great depression. Many countries ended up worse off than what took place in the USA.

It would be even more odd if US interest rates had no effect on the USD:THB exchange rate. There are 2 currencies in every currency pair.

Now what's the forecast for interest rates ?
Re: Baht Fundamentals
Wall Street is expecting a cut in rates next month. The stock market is already pricing it in.
Lower rates means a weaker dollar. The dollar is nearing its support. I’m hoping it holds. Gold at all time highs. I’m glad I bought my Thai necklace a few years ago.

Re: Baht Fundamentals
In my opinion, as has been demonstrated many times, no one, not even the "experts" can accurately predict where the exchange rates are going. Over the years I have seen all kinds of predictions and they almost never turn out to be right.
Whether living in Thailand or going to Thailand for a holiday, you need to be prepared for the exchange rates no matter what they might be. Sometimes the rate is favorable and sometimes not. The only prediction I would be willing to make is many of us remember when the rates were steady at around 45 baht to the dollar and my prediction is we are unlikely to see rates even close to that again unless there is another major Asian money crash.

I also wouldn't assume the next financial crises would be in Asia. Given all the debts & deficits, don't rule out it occurring in some well known English speaking countries.
