Jomtien Good and Bad

Post by Jun »

Yesterday I dined with another board member at Divarium.

They have a goats cheese salad on the menu, plus a couple of veggie starter/side dish options. This was very tasty and far better than the food I have experienced at nearby dedicated restaurants.

Divarium also has what must be the world's cutest bar manager.
So well done to Divarium.

On the negative side, the racket coming from up the street at another bar was far too loud, despite us being several bars down and not in direct line of sight of their speakers.
Later on, a loud and dreadful ladyboy act started next door, in the street outside The Palace. By all means have a show, but please do it in the bar and with a reasonable volume.

The Palace is a frequent offender, so they never get any of my money, even when there is no show.

Gayguides also has complaints about the noise.

The loud music imposed on everyone within earshot is what would anger me and would keep me well away from any of the nearby bars. I don't understand why that is even permitted. Remember that city ordinance about music volume is not to be louder than 90 decibels? If I recall, that was enforced for about a week and a half and then totally ignored.

That is definitely a negative, at least for me, about Jomtien Complex. That kind of music volume is allowed, but go-go bars are prohibited.

Time to once again dig out my "I Don't Get It" list . . .
