Happy 29th to Hubble

29 is nothing special as birthdays go, but this one opened up a world that had us aghast. The photographs sent down by the Hubble telescope after its mirror had been repaired by Shuttle astronauts were literally mind-blowing. Hubble was launched on April 24 1999.

I didn't realize it's been that long already - 29 years. And the photos from Hubble are nearly as good as the photos you post . . .

Thank you GB, but I would have been delirious if I could have taken shots like those from Hubble. To me, seeing the birth of a galaxy (2nd photo) is just mind-blowing.
