So, is Evan gay? Does anyone know? The case they make seems compelling enough at first glance. ;)

Unless they got magically stripped of their voting privileges unknown to me, they matter. A lot.

And to add my personal point of view, if he were a "closet homosexual" as alleged, I wouldn't even consider voting for him. If he's such a coward or bigot that he needs to stay in the closet in 2016, he's clearly disqualified for the office he's after. An openly gay candidate, on the other hand, ...

Don't miss this, folks:

In Thailand that will be Thursday morning at 9:00am

If you miss it, maybe you can catch it later if it is rebroadcast on Bill Maher's Facebook page or ends up on YouTube. If it does appear on YouTube, let's get it posted here.

Sorry, I think that is utter nonsense. Does someone have to declare that they enjoy S&M or that they like to cross dress in private? or a woman have to declare that she likes a big dick up her arse?

It's not anyone's business what your sexual preferences are. Nobody should have to come out as gay or anything else for that matter.

I agree. Plenty of people fully support gay rights without being gay themselves. I can see having to disclose tax returns, but having to disclose sexual preferences? No way.

There are many reasons why a person would remain in the closet; Having elderly parents who would not understand. Having a job that you might lose as a result of coming out. Those are just 2 reasons. Cowardice is certainly not one of them.

We're talking about someone running for public office in 2016. Of course the public has a right to know pretty much everything there is to know. If you don't like that, don't run for public office, would be my advice. Tax returns, birth certificates, sex partners, where to draw the line? There is none, anymore.

A "closet homosexual" is living a lie. There might be good reasons for that, but I'd prefer someone in that precarious position not to represent me as my president or congressman. For those in the closet who don't run for public office, I only feel pity, I don't have any problem with them.
