Aleppo is on the brink of falling, Russia has threatened the U.S. if it takes action against Assad's army. Time for a game changer. As the game changed for the Russians in Afghanistan so should it change in Syria. Give the anti Assad forces stinger type weapons to stop the Russian and Syrian air forces from continuing their devastating attacks on the opposition and the civilian populous.(Supplied by U.S. proxy states such as the Saudis).
What is to stop them from falling into the wrong hands? Technical advancements are in place to limit their shelf life

That sounds like madness to me. Instead, the West should realize that opposing Assad, who has been one of very few anchors of stability in a region plagued with chronic instability, is just plain silly and not at all in "our" interest. Saddam was an evil, secular dictator; getting rid of him made things much worse in and around Iraq - and was therefore a costly mistake. If it came to that, it would be the same with Assad, so I see no justification to make the same mistake twice.

It is saddening that President Putin has so much more common sense in that regard. How many times has the West supported "rebels" only to realize later on that they are rabid Islamists? It's disgusting. Instead of supporting Assad's opponents just to piss in Vladi's cornflakes, we should team up with him on that particular front.

Syria's population rivals that of Austrailia about 22,500,000 people, the U.N. estimates approx. 400,000 have died sine the war began, this does not include the wounded, Russia has blood on it's hands as with the downing of MH 17 and those that died during it's anexation of the Crimea. All this has occured because the U.S. has done nothing, it is time to stop the Russians.

Why you call them "Anti Assad" instead using their real name: Al Nusra front, part of al-Qaeda? Yeah, supply them, and forgive them 9/11.
