He did endorse Hillary, that's right. And his reasoning is hilarious:
"Note: I endorsed Hillary Clinton – for my personal safety – because I live in California. It isn’t safe to be viewed as a Trump supporter where I live. My politics don’t align with either candidate, but backing Clinton reduces my odds of dying at the hands of my fellow citizens. (And yes, I am 100% serious. It just happens to be funny by coincidence.)"

Re: Trump Supporters
The above quote from Adams's Dilbert, opens an issue I've been worried about for some time. What are the after election consequences no matter which candidate wins. With few exceptions most of us here agree that a Trump victory could well bring on the Apocolypse - world wide financial ruin, potential nuclear devastation, and all the other aspects of rule by the anti-Christ. A more serious concern is what will happen to the fabric of US society if Clinton wins. As the alt-right grows more intolerant and applauds Trump's veiled threats of violence, I doubt they will blithefully fall back into the shadows and peacefully respect the rule of law and order. I worry they will accept Trump's challenge to "exercise their second amendment rights" and "take care of Clinton" themselves. Are we facing a Civil War in the US?Alex wrote:My politics don’t align with either candidate, but backing Clinton reduces my odds of dying at the hands of my fellow citizens. Re: Trump Supporters
I hope it doesn't come to that, but if Trump does win, I'm glad I'm living about as far away from Washington D.C. as it's possible to get without leaving the planet altogether.RichLB wrote:Are we facing a Civil War in the US?
Re: Trump Supporters
I don't think we are facing a Civil War. The more realistic danger is that some nutcases - and as we know, they aren't in short supply - will feel encouraged by Trump's inciting speeches and might well do something stupid. Assassination attempts, terrorist attacks, etc. That might become Trump's legacy if he loses.

Re: Trump Supporters
Does anyone know whether the Presidential debates will be broadcast live in Thailand on any of the main TV distributors (I am on True Visions Gold)?
As yet I have not heard anything about this, nor have I seen any adverts regarding such.
These debates are bound to be as fascinating as anyone could imagine (probably more so) ... and unlike many other Prez debates (emphasis on the zzzz's), these should be riveting.

I don't know either, but sometimes the news TV sites or Cspan broadcast these live. The worst that can happen is you'll be able to download the debates and watch them later. They always end up on sites such as YouTube.Smiles wrote:Does anyone know whether the Presidential debates will be broadcast live in Thailand on any of the main TV distributors (I am on True Visions Gold)?

Re: Trump Supporters
Now the spineless slime ball, Teddy Cruz, has come around to be among Trump's supporters (after months of prayers, no less!)...
"After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump," Cruz wrote Friday.
What a tool. I hope he gets a good spanking from Heidi.
