Why? Because she is viewed as a part of a political system that people are just sick and tired of.

Again, you almost make it sound as if voters have an obligation to be in love with her. "She has been fact checked", wow! The Almighty Council of Fact Checking has decided who is best for us. Why even hold an election, then? Can't we just "fact check" the candidates and whoever comes out on top will get the job? Hell no, I say!

You really have that upside down, in my opinion. The electorate doesn't owe Hillary (or any other politician) anything. They can also choose to ignore "fact checks". Come election time, people like HRC have to solicit our support. Our only chance to see them down to earth anyway. Hillary is surprisingly unpopular despite having what many would call an unelectable opponent. Why they feel that way doesn't matter, it's squarely on Hillary and her campaign to win people over.

Not that he needs any more ammunition. After all, he claims HRC can shoot anyone dead and get away with it.

NO, you have it wrong. He didn't say that about HRC. T Rump is the moron who said that about himself.

For me it doesn't matter who said what. I decide who to vote for based on what I believe they're going to do, not on a few remarks they may wish they never said. We all do that sometimes.

I'm in favor of what I believe Hillary Clinton is going to do as president. I'm in favor of nothing I believe Trump would do.

Apparently Trump's current campaign staff has succeeded in convincing many people that the leopard has changed its spots.

Morell and Vickers: An open letter to Donald Trump
By Michael Morell and Mike Vickers September 10

Michael Morell was acting director and deputy director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 2010 to 2013. Mike Vickers was the undersecretary of defense for intelligence from 2011 to 2015. Both writers have served in Democratic and Republican administrations and endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.

Mr. Trump, with all due respect to you as the presidential nominee of the Republican Party, you cannot.... (read more).... https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions ... e04535e6e9

Some keep referring to Hillary as a crook. This evening I was talking to a friend, a retired Federal prosecutor. He brought out what I think is a very good point. In reference to Hillary breaking any laws he said, "Show me the statute. Show me a law she broke." There are none, despite all the name calling.

The canadates are both 70ish and as of late Clinton's health has become an isssue, unfortuately her falling during a 9/11 memorial and subsiquent diagnosis of pneumonia will likely add to these concerns.

Indeed, the "wisdom" of nominating someone in their 70s is beyond me in both cases... I don't necessarily think that the president needs to be youthful, but really, it's a tough and physically demanding job. Subjecting someone who's already beyond retirement age at the time of the election to the stress and tight schedule of first the campaign and then the actual job might be a bit much for many/most that age.

I disagree. For me, age is not an issue. The issue is what the president will do. It's not the age of the president doing it.

As for it being a tough, physically demanding job, I see no reason why either candidate would be unable to handle it. Think about Franklin Roosevelt.
