Fascinating! But with real id laws in the states it is getting difficult too. It took two trips for my 5 year license on pa. Then I had to come back because they don't take cash or credit. Only personalcheck on a local bank or exact money order. The lines and waits were considerable and I am not in a city....

Seriously? I could order my latest California DL online, from Thailand. ;)

Multiple states are refusing the real ID act. Washington has threatened to no longer allow those states to use drivers licenses to board aircraft. the date has been moved back to 2018 I think.

Once you are verified under the "act" then you can do it the easy way. PA requires new photos every 5 years.

I did renew my drivers license in PA on-line, but, as maump says they only take money order/personal checks in PA (which makes no sense), when in person. However a Passport is the best ID so no real need for a drivers license to board an aircraft.

That's all fine gents, but you're morphing the topic. This topic is supposed to be about THAI driving licenses. If you wish to discuss driving licenses in the USA or elsewhere, please start a new topic in the "Everything Else" forum. If anyone starts that topic, I'll be happy to transfer the non-Thailand driving license posts over to it.
