My Thai partner of 13 years and I were married last December in NYC. He did just fine during the Winter in Michigan with temperatures of -12C and -20C. He even learned how to shovel snow.

Is it just me or does this seem very rude?

I had the same concern.

I didn’t respond, as it is impossible to discern what the author attempted to say in his post.

I must be missing something. What's the rude part?

Perhaps there is no rude part. I must learn not to respond to an unintelligible post.

I think Undaunted would certainly agree that I've deleted many of his posts for what I consider to be rude and/or inappropriate. He usually doesn't agree with me of course. After all, few ever see anything wrong with their own posts, but Undaunted never has hissy fits about it like so many others do when their own posts get deleted for one reason or another. However, I don't see anything rude about his post above. If I did, I would have deleted that too. Like I said, maybe I'm missing something.

In any case, I'm not going to delete it even if someone points out the rude part. It's already been there long enough that deleting it now would amount to shutting the barn door after the horse has left.

Good call, I think he's just 'taking the Mickey'.

Better to take one than be slipped one . . .

Thanks for the concern. Since I know Undaunted (and his sometimes brash and dry wit), I am not at all offended by his tongue-in-cheek comment.
