Curing salt

Post by lvdkeyes »

Back to the problem of where to buy curing salt (pickling salt -pink salt).
Today I went to Western Wholesale and the lady told me "cannot sell". I said I bought it there before. She called to someone, presumably the owner, and she told me he said "cannot sell". What a lot of bullshit!!!
So, it was back to the drawing board and have found that it is sold at Royal Exquisite Food for 103THB/1kg, which is the smallest amount they sell.
I will probably go tomorrow to buy some.

Maybe you can provide better directions after you go there. I have no idea how to find that address.

I can do that or you can call them and get better directions. That's what I will do tomorrow.

I'll be damned! I looked at their map and it turns out they're on "The Dark Side," not far from me. I've probably passed them a million times and never noticed.

If you came up Soi Khao Tolo to get there, you may have noticed a Continental Bakery on the way, shortly before you arrived. That's the same outfit, with the same menu, as the Continental Bakery in Jomtien.

That's not a plus for me. I don't like Continental and haven't been there for years.
You wouldn't even notice this place unless you were looking for it.
