Though I agree that Corner Bar for a time had an excellent burger, for my taste it went downhill and in the end was quite ordinary. I am sure the quality of the beef used changed.

As far as $8 being expensive for a Burger, I don't get it. That is what any decent burger with fries will cost you at McDonald's or Burger King. 250 baht is the going price and you will get a soda.

I would much rather pay that for a quality burger and fries and add the drink to the expense.

By the way there have been 2 posts on Sawatdee and GT professing to have enjoyed the Burger at Diecey's.

It might be who is in the kitchen when you order which I am afraid too often happens in Pattaya. Consistency is not always practiced unfortunately.

I haven't eaten at either of them for years. Do they even have any "decent" burgers? It's gotten that expensive for a burger and fries at McDonald's and Burger King? Definitely not worth it to me. Besides, although I don't remember it ever happening at a Burger King, most of the time when I did eat at McDonald's, a couple hours later I ended up with heartburn.

You could always do it yourself. Hamburgers are not very hard to make. :?

Sometimes I do. My problem is I never seem to be able to get them to come out the way they do when I find one in a restaurant that I really like. So far, my two favorites are Firehouse in Bangkok and the ones Thomas used to make at Corner Bar. I haven't tried Dicey Reilley's yet.

We tried the hamburger at Dicey-Reilly. It was last Monday and it was the daily special.
Price has changed to 199b. And is now called burger and beer. Large stein of draught Chaing beer and tasty
hamburger and fries. Hamburger was good and I would return again for another.
A few nights ago,I had a McDonalds double cheese burger with cheese set for about 150b. And was surprised how tasty it was. First time
in years.
Dicey-Reilly not a gay place but friendly and comfortable. Seating inside and outside.

Burger at Carl's Jr. at Central Festival Pattaya

Post by Maple »

IMHO, the best American burger can be found at Carl's Jr. Restaurant located at Level 3 (sea view), Central Festival Pattaya Beach. They feature eight different burgers; their charbroiled "Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger" costs 225 Baht. Home delivery is available via Food Panda which gives Carl's a four-star rating. The Angus burger is back at Burger King. It's not cheap, but it is worth the price of 299 THB for the meal which includes fries and drink. IMHO.

I'm still waiting for a hamburger that can even begin to compare to the ones Thomas used to make at Corner Bar.

I had a burger at The Corner Bar and, although I couldn't find fault, I wouldn't say it was the best burger I've had in Pattaya.

Where is the best burger you've had in Pattaya (other than the ones you make yourself)?
