Yippee! My order arrived at 9:45 this morning, delivered by two Thai ladies! This was my first opportunity to try some of their products. I even got more than I had ordered. They gave me several free samples of some of their other products and asked me to let them know how I like them.
They even thanked me for having recommended them to "Meester Monty." Monty, they said, is their next delivery stop. Excellent! Monty is definitely ordering from the right place. I was very pleased with my products.
Now it's going to be all I can do to wait for dinner tonight - homemade Reuben (or Rachel, technically) sandwiches made with Pastrami rather than corned beef. I prefer the Pastrami. Sorry, Monty, but tonight I'm making my own. And I was anticipating it. I've already made the coleslaw, the Russian dressing, bought the Swiss cheese at Nana Deli, bought the sauerkraut, and made a loaf of rye bread in my beloved bread machine.
Anybody care to join me . . . ?

I liked the corned beef a lot, the pastrami should have a bit of fat which was the only thing lacking, the smoked turkey breast was great, it was moist and didn't taste like ham.

Re: M J Smokehouse - makes deliveries
Last night I had a delivery of their turkey dinner which included a roast turkey with stuffing and gravy as well as mashed potatoes, wild rice and cranberry sauce. We also added a pecan pie.
The total price was 5,000 which we shared among 6 people. There was easily enough food for 10 so we had lots of leftovers.
They delivered exactly when they said they would and everything was hot and ready to go (I did have to carve the turkey). The food was delicious and we were all quite pleased.

I ordered 400 grms of smoked turkey I loved the smoked turkey breast last time best I've had, this time it looked different I emailed Scott he said now they combine all parts of the turkey to make what used to be the Breast not thrilled with that, I also received the smoked brisket it was just ok, won't be ordering again.LKAsians wrote:I have placed my first order, and got a quick reply. Was ready to deliver tomorrow, but I asked for a Thursday delivery based on my schedule..and they said fine!! Looking forward to trying the products, especially the smoked brisket!!
Re: M J Smokehouse - makes deliveries
What we do is take a whole turkey, de-bone it as is and wrap it tight and after we smoke, slice it from the whole loaf. (you can see a sample of the turkey loaf from our website) In other words our slices of turkey is turkey breast mixed with other parts from the whole turkey. I hope this clarify your question.
Sincerely,
Scott
