A friend suggested I order some "smoked" meats from M J Smokehouse
http://mjsmokehouse.com/. It is not a restaurant and they do not have a shop that sells their products - they deliver to your home.
Their website has a price list for their products. For those that don't have the time, kitchen utensils, or inclination to make the patty sausages mentioned in another thread, they offer 3 types of patty sausage - Original, Spicy, and Maple Syrup - reasonably priced IMO at 150B per 500g.
I decided to give it a try and ordered spicy breakfast sausage and a few other items, corned beef (250B for 500g - they also have pastrami at 300B), smoked turkey, smoked bacon, and original jerky. You can order by telephone or email - I sent an email last Friday, they telephoned me later that day to confirm order and say they would deliver on Saturday and would let me know expected delivery time. She also asked if I wanted the bacon to be "frozen" or "refrigerator cold" - "refrigerator cold" was my choice.
I rec'd a text message mid-morning on Saturday advising that they would deliver about 2pm and to let them know if that was not convenient - I sent text back saying that the time was fine. It was delivered a few minutes before 2pm - the lady also told me that they had included some a free sample of their smoked salmon and their terriyaki jerky.
The patty sausage was the only item frozen - they have a suggested cooking method in the recipe section of their website. I tried the terriyaki jerky first, but after trying the original, I prefer it - It comes in 25g packets and I could get hooked on it for snacking. The corned beef is not sliced - I cut off a chunk for dinner that evening - delicious IMO (I sliced some to make a sandwich on Sunday and I still have some left to enjoy later) - I will definitely order it again and maybe giver their pastrami a try.
I fried a couple bacon slices and a sausage patty this morning for breakfast -- wanted to try them both - very good IMO; I really liked the sausage. I haven't tried the turkey yet, that may be in a sandwich for lunch today.
Of course everyone's taste is different, but IMO their products I have tried so far are very good. I am passing it on in case anyone wants to give them a try.

I didn't offer any "improvements" as I have now tried everything except the smoked salmon sample and found it all great - the smoked turkey was delicious. Next time I order, I will give the smoked ham and the pastrami a try.Let us know what you like or don't like, its the only way we can improve!
Re: M J Smokehouse - makes deliveries
No disappointment here! I ordered: 1 kilo corned beef, 500 grms. Pastrami, 500 grms. smoked turkey and one individual small pecan pie.
For quantity , quality, and price it can't be beat, I asked for a 3PM delivery they were here 2:55. It's run by an American guy his Thai wife and her mother.
Thaiworthy, I asked if they had smoked Thai food. Sorry, they don't.

Based on the map, when I plugged those coordinates into my GPS they seem to be accurate.lvdkeyes wrote:A friend sent me the coordinates for MJ Smokehouse
Also, for those of you going out there today, I suggest you plan on getting there via Chaiyapruek. Unfortunately, there is road construction going on at the junction of Sukhumvit and Soi Khao Tolo, and it's blocked off. If any of you are coming from the north Pattaya area, I suggest going out to the railroad and taking the secondary road. You can get to both Soi Khao Tolo and Chaiyapruek that way.

Re: M J Smokehouse - makes deliveries
The Mexican buffet they had was FANTASTIC! All the food was home made by the owners wife. She actually learned to cook in mexican food in Mexico City and then taught this in Idaho!! (USA)
Today I placed my order. In addition to all the smoked meats, they also sell pies! I asked Scott (owner's son) and he said it was his grandmother's recipe.
Truly a nice family!
