People will believe anything...just look at the number of skin whiteners (now called 'brighteners' or some such after some women with common sense complained of racism), detox concoctions (they say it's based on ancient Chinese principles but they don't speak or write one word of Chinese themselves) or the truly weird mishmash of fabrics they call 'high fashion' (no explanation needed for this one, I think).
