I have never seen a car park where staff walks around to collect money. That would only work with people who are new to Thailand, but who new to Thailand would rent a car and drive?
A customer in front of me was hiring a car for 2 weeks, with the intention of driving to Phuket and back to Bangkok. Yet he was asking me about ATMs, as he hadn't used one here yet.

I'm not sure which I dislike the most, driving to Puket or paying over 200 baht on ATM withdrawals capped at £300 (probably)
