Lou Cafe
Another place with excellent coffee and their own roasting equipment.
Just off third road, in a quiet location.

Coffee Shops in Pattaya
Re: Coffee Shops in Pattaya
Cafe Kanom.
Located in a tiny shed, in a quiet street near the top end of Rompho.
Upon arrival, I was the only customer and after taking my order, he put the music on!
I asked him to turn it down, which he did.
The coffee was quite good, but I'm not going to be rushing back, for obvious reasons.

La Cremerie
I have visited the branches in Bang Saray and Pratumnak. Very good coffee for 80 baht, or a coffee and croissant for 120.
Apparently they also have two branches on the dark side.
This is the kind of coffee I'd like to see near Jomtien Complex.
Casa Myka
Nice coffee, but I can't imagine the accounts look very good. On my most recent visit, there were 7 staff in the coffee shop and 4 customers. To be fair, it's usually busier than this.
But the real money pit must be the large very pizza restaurant behind ths courtyard. They have taken ages to finish this. One side has built in tiled concrete seating- the type that looks nice, but is almost certainly uncomfortable and unfit for purpose.
Now it's open, you can barely tell it's trading from walking past. There is minimum lighting. They had 1 customer the last time I looked.
I hope the pizza restaurant doesn't drag the coffee shop into insolvency.

Re: Coffee Shops in Pattaya
They do have two "The Dark Side" branches, both about a 10 minute drive for me. I usually make my own coffee at home, but they have much more than only coffee and croissants. Well worth stopping in.
They also offer delivery via GRAB.

The Baristro at Central Pattaya mall. Excellent coffee and delicious croissant. Plenty of space with panoramic sea view.
Re: Coffee Shops in Pattaya
La Cremerie, Pratumnak, again.
The coffee here is much better than anything I've found within a 15 minute walk of the complex.
They also have a couple of farang managers walking around in uniform, supervising and sometimes serving customers. Which is unusual.
I did overhear one of them saying they run the Cafe de Paris in Terminal 21. The coffee there is nothing like that at La Cremerie, unless they recently changed it.

Re: Coffee Shops in Pattaya
I hope they have sense enough to be in possession of valid work permits. Otherwise, they are asking for big trouble - and sooner or later they would get it.
Those who remember Monty might also remember he was nearly jailed and deported simply for emptying ashtrays without holding a work permit. I hope nothing happens to these farang managers, especially since they are running a quality establishment.

Love this thread and I've made a list of the coffeeshops I'd like to try. Any idea where I can get bagels in Pattaya, if any?

Re: Coffee Shops in Pattaya
Check the following link. Bagels are not all that hard to find in Pattaya.
https://www.google.com/search?q=bagels+ ... =901&dpr=1
I don't see it on the list in the link, but Villa Market carries bagels. I don't recall seeing bagels at any other grocery stores in Pattaya.

Oooh it looks like I'm going to be spoilt for choice. Some delicious-looking options out there. Thanks, Gaybutton.
