The farang and the boy were sitting down together, as if nothing had hapoened. Presumably with the correct drink.

Re: Bar Reports
Fun Bar had an opening event last night, complete with a large stage in the street.
They started off with a fat lady singing, which does not entertain me at all. Things picked up when they had some boys from M-Bar on stage dancing. A couple were extremely cute. Overall, I enjoyed it and stayed far longer than planned.

Winner Boys
6 boys on stage & 1 with a customer.
Singha beer 179 baht, with a "free" cocktail as a promotion.
The quality of boys was far better than my last visit, approximately a year ago.
One was offable and another could be considered. The remaining boys had moustaches and some had exessive tattoos. Only 1 was overweight and not excessively so.
However, I'm very unlikely to actually off anyone from here. If the boy I'm thinking of offing is not on stage, the days of being able to find one at a gogo bar next door ended some time ago.
Also, most of my hookups are short time and in the early evening.
I've lost interest in long time hookups with boys whose body clock has them sleeping from 5:00 to 13:00.

Visit to Boyztown
Last Saturday I took a Thai friend to see Boyztown. He said he hadn’t been before.
As it was the Saturday between Christmas and New Year at 10 pm and so I assumed it was peak of the high season.
Firstly I thought I would show him my favourite bar so we stopped at Toy Boys and went inside. There was one customer in there and only 4 boys on the stage. We left immediately.
Next I thought I’d show him Classic Boys. There were 4 or 5 customers there and four or five boys on the stage. We stayed and had one drink only.
The guy said he wanted to see the show at XBoys so we went there at 11pm. It was almost full. The show started on time (unusual!) and was the same as always.
The odd thing was there was probably about 7 or 8 women in the audience and a few working as waiters. 2 drinks cost 720 Baht.
Finally, before returning to Jomtien, we stopped at Pikkys bar for a quick one…it was empty!
Don’t think I’ll bother much more with Boyztown on this trip.

Re: Bar Reports
Yet another reason why I hardly ever go to the bars anymore. I was spoiled by the way things were years ago when the go-go bars were thriving and there were so many of them. In those days it didn't matter which bar, but if you were not there shortly after opening time you would be lucky to get a seat - and it wasn't just 4 or 5 boys on the stage. It was always between 8 and a dozen, often more, and more boys waiting in the wings for their turn. Seeing females in the gay bars was unheard of.
Unfortunately the Pattaya go-go bar scene looks to be dying out and is currently in its death throes. For awhile I was hoping to see a comeback, but those hopes have been dashed a long time now. I am grateful I was here during the Pattaya go-go bar scene's "golden years".

I just it doesn't eventually happen to the Jomtien Complex scene too.
Re: Bar Reports
The demand just isn't there for gogo bars any more. Which is why most have closed.
Once there are a few proven boys saved onto your Line contacts list, why even condider hiring unknown gogo boys on a daily basis ?
Some board members have boyfriends and others meet boys they know repeatedly.
Even the preceding Boyztown report appears to be in the company of an already known Thai friend.
When I was in Winner Boys, the other customer was sat with one boy, but it still didn't stop him collecting the Line ID for one of the boys still on stage.
The traditional gogo business model is dead.
Re: Bar Reports
I had never seen that before, but on my latest visit to M bar one staff went around with a box that every boy who sat with a customer put his mobilephone in. To be returned when the customer left.
I applaud this. Finally a boybar that understands the necessity for the boys to focus on the paying customer instead of their phones.

Re: Bar Reports
I've never seen that before either.
Also, I can't actually remember when a boy using his phone has been a problem once I'm sat with him. In such circumstances, the phone only tends to be used for translation or supporting the conversation, e.g. by showing me where he comes from.
More problematic is boys on their phones when customers are walking past. How are we supposed to form a first impression when he's too busy to even look at prospective customers? I usually solve that problem by only considering the ones not on their phones.
Re: Bar Reports
The police made an appearance in Jomtien Complex on Sunday evening, but just 3~4 of them. The Cambodian boys hid for a while. My Cambodian friend was if the opinion that "if they really wanted to catch us, they wouldn't send 2~3 people".
Which sounds about right to me.
