Over the last 20 years I have used either Avast, Avira, AVG or Microsoft Defender. All free.
I've usually change when suspecting the anti-virus is slowing the PC down (either correctly or incorrectly).
I currently use Defender.
Only once in my life have I knowingly had a virus and that was during the only year of my life that I subscribed to an anti-virus (Symantec, about 20 years ago).
Avast, AVG & Symantec are all the same company now.

I’m thinking of getting rid of my newspaper subscription and maybe getting the news online now. Maybe get a smart television instead of my rather bulky 1985 zenith television which also masquerades as a piece of furniture in my living room. When something goes wrong with it, hauling it to the tv repair store in the back of a truck is quite a burden. I might also bring my typewriters to the pawn shop and see what I can get for them.
I suspect you're winding us up.
About 10 years ago, I upgraded my 32" Toshiba LCD to a Samsung 40" TV, as I wanted 1080p.
I'm now trying to sell the Toshiba on ebay, cheaply. There are no takers. I suspect no one wants 720p now & if you look into it, the newer LCD TVs use so much less electricity that for anyone who would use it regularly, it would work out cheaper to buy a new TV.
Banking apps are very useful.
