If the baht is strong, but shouldn't be, maybe it will crash. If that happens, no objection from me. Fingers crossed.
Re: Why is the Thai Baht strong when it should be weaker?
It's a mistake to think the Thai Baht should be weak, just because we would like it that way. There's no real reason to expect a weak Baht.
Meanwhile, the US continues to survive on debt and deficits. Including a horrendous balance of trade deficit.
The UK is just as bad.
With the economy like that, we're lucky to get the exchange rates that we have now.

I agree, and remain grateful for what we're getting.
i imagine the U.S. dollar will strengthen after Trumps trade wars simmer down and consumer confidence rebounds from that past year of shock-treatments. But then again, if they dive deeper into inflation all bets are off.
Re: Why is the Thai Baht strong when it should be weaker?
As an outsider, I have the impression that Trump is borrowing recklessly and at the same time, trying to pressurise the Fed to lower interest rates.
None of that can be good for the USD. Countries with independent setting of interest rates tend to have lower inflation.
The US nationals here probably keep a closer eye on this than me.
Here's more evidence of interference with the Fed.

I think you're right.
I wonder who Trump will blame this time. Probably the feds.
