There is far too much bureaucracy and needless repetitive paperwork, constantly giving immigration the same information they already have. And they wonder why international tourists look for someplace else to go. Nobody wants to go on a long haul flight only to have to spend time trekking to immigration. People on a holiday want just that - their holiday - and that does not include wasting a substantial part of their day going to immigration to fill out needless forms.

The guy in front of me at Passport Control at Bangkok obviously hadn't done his TDAC as the girl at the desk kept shaking her head and directing him back to the arrival area. There was a lot of gesticulating until an official arrived and led the guy back to the area set aside with laptops for people to fill in their forms. I'd done mine well in advance but no one asked to see anything.

I assume SP55 meant once he arrives in Thailand, he reports his accommodation to immigration because he stays at a place that does not do so?
In all my times of coming to Thailand, I have never been to immigration other than extensions of stay.
Hotels are supposed to report foreigners to immigration.
