I missed that. Nevertheless, one thing is clear - Chinese tour bus numbers are way down. Also, nowhere near as many, but Russian tour bus numbers are also way down. I usually don't even see any tour buses.

At the end of my own street a hotel was built to accommodate both Russian and Chinese tour buses. Before Covid, most days there would be 2 to 5 tour buses parked in their lot. Since Covid I have seen a grand total of 2 buses. Nothing against the tourists themselves - they never bothered anybody, but the buses were often a problem.

The hotel still operates. They still get a few guests, but it's mostly Thais who arrive in their own cars and are here visiting family and friends. I can't imagine any reason for tourists and buses to stay in my area these days.

As for other areas of Pattaya, I'm rarely in the tourist and bar areas so I really can't speak to whether it appears that tourist numbers are up, down, or status quo. But there is no question that the tour bus numbers are way down. Good!
