Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital hosts Flu vaccine campaign

Post by Gaybutton »

I got my vaccine a few months ago, but it was in conjunction with other things I was doing at the hospital, so I'm not sure of the price and the article doesn't say. I'm GUESSING between 1000-2000 baht, but you can call the hospital to find out. If anyone finds out the price, please post.

Bangkok Hospital Pattaya Hosts BDMS Preventive Vaccine Campaign to Boost Flu Awareness

By Adam Judd

May 27, 2025

Bangkok Hospital Pattaya held the “BDMS Preventive Vaccine” event at the lobby of Building E to raise awareness about influenza prevention through vaccination and provide critical information on safeguarding against the disease from medical experts.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Peeraphan Jerajapredee, Assistant Director of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. A highlight of the event was a special talk featuring renowned actor Art Phasut Banyam and his mother, who shared insights on maintaining family health. The session also included a panel discussion updating attendees on influenza prevention, key facts about the disease, and strategies for building immunity. Additionally, the hospital introduced its Vaccine Fast Track service, designed to provide vaccinations in just 30 minutes for maximum convenience. This service will be available from now until July 31, 2025.

In early 2025, Thailand faced a severe influenza outbreak, with over 140,000 cases and 14 deaths reported in the first two months alone, signaling that influenza is no longer just a seasonal illness. The dominant strain, A (H1N1), has particularly affected children, with the highest infection rates among those aged 5–9, followed by younger children and teenagers. Data from the Department of Disease Control highlights vulnerabilities in schools, daycare centers, and other communal spaces where children gather.

Once overlooked as “just the flu,” the influenza vaccine is now a critical tool, especially for high-risk groups such as the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses. The Ministry of Public Health has intensified efforts to promote vaccination to prevent severe complications. For more information on vaccines, contact Bangkok Hospital Pattaya at 038 259 999, available 24/7.
