How much cash back do you get on each transaction ?

The last cashback credit card I had levied a 3% forex charge and gave a 1% cashback. Now that was OK for domestic purchases, but obviously I didn't use it overseas. Then they started reducing the cashback.

How does that work out when you're drawing cash from an ATM? :?

(also, cash withdrawals on a credit card generally have no grace period so you're accumulating interest daily.)

I've only once withdrawn cash on a credit card, when I needed a lot of cash to open an account in Singapore.

Once I finished in the bank, I went straight to Starbucks and used their wifi to pay off the entire credit card bill in full. I was surprised to see this avoided all interest charges -not even one day. However, I think that's too much hassle to use as a regular tactic.
