Police and rescuers have a good laugh over 2 dead bodies - HUH?

Post by Gaybutton »

At 11:00 PM on March 18, 2025, police from Huai Yai Police Station and rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation in Pattaya received a report of a man and woman found dead, naked, and lying embraced in a pile of garbage. The location was in Soi Thongchai 1, near the railway road in Moo 4 in Huai Yai. Upon receiving the report, teams of police and rescue workers, accompanied by The Pattaya News team, quickly dispatched officers and personnel to investigate the scene and rushed across the city.

However, upon arriving at the reported location, the police and rescue teams had to halt their mission and promptly cancel the investigation, with more than one officer found chuckling and amused. Why?

What they found were not human bodies but merely plastic mannequins—specifically, two clothing display mannequins commonly used in apparel stores. The mannequins, one male and one female, each approximately 160 cm tall, were positioned lying down and embracing each other in the trash pile by the roadside. The area was quite dark with no lighting, making it easy to mistake them for real human bodies at a glance.

Mr. Saharat Krudngoen, a volunteer rescuer from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation in Pattaya, recounted the incident. He explained that the rescue team’s radio center had received a call from a concerned citizen reporting the discovery of a man and woman lying embraced in a garbage pile.

Rescue volunteers in the vicinity were immediately called, and he rushed to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival and inspection, it turned out to be just two plastic mannequins used for displaying clothes. He quickly radioed back to the center to report the findings and cancel the mission.

Personally, he wasn’t upset with the person who reported it, as he admitted that if he had driven by and seen it himself, he too would have thought they were real bodies. He speculated that the mannequins were likely discarded by merchants due to damage and that some pranksters might have posed them in a way that mimicked people lying embraced.

It would have been even funnier if they loaded them on stretchers and took them to the hospital...
