Other good coffee shops include "Ordinary Coffee", which has branches in Nakluea, Jomtien and to the south of Jomtien. Far from ordinary.
King of Coffee on Pratumanak is another good one.

However, drinking coffee in Jomtien complex can be disappointing. The "Speciality Coffee" shop near Soda sells a bland coffee. A couple of the other places sell "Bon Cafe", which I find anything but bon. Best to head down to Casa Myka at the start of Dongtan Beach.

Huh?!?! How can you be from the UK, but not like tea? Isn't that some sort of sacrilege?

Maybe it's time to resurrect that famed British punishment of hanging, drawing, and quartering . . .

I’m caffeine intolerant (not allergic) so I only drink a naturally caffeine free herbal tea. I love it but have never met anyone else who will drink it. Even a coffee cream chocolate gives me heart burn. So I’ve grown up hating coffee and eventually giving up tea as well although I can still enjoy the occasional “cuppa tea”.

I visited the Sunset roasting facility on North road again today.
They have improved the seating since my last visit and it's now far better as a coffee shop than previously.

Backstreet Cafe, although for pedestrians, it's a bit further to walk.

For the coffee, it's hard to choose between several of the roasters, who are all very good.
Some of them don't have particularly comfortable seating, so choosing between the shops is easier.

I haven't set foot in one of the Thai chain coffee shops on this trip. I only use these when travelling and unable to find someting decent.

For convenience, the coffee shops I visit most frequently are a couple of good independants in South Pattaya.
In all my years visiting these two shops, I've only ever seen the husband or wife on the till. The staff don't get near that. Both shops also have a CCTV camera pointing directly at the till.

Branch Coffee Jomtien has palatable coffee and a nice croissant for 90 baht. Plus other menu options.
It's popular, with 80% of the tables typically occupied.

Right next door, there's a slightly more upmarket looking coffee shop, with no customers. They have 3 staff trying to get customers inside.
On a day when they are closed, I peer through the window and see they want 140 baht just for a croissant. So 100 baht more than next door.
Price does matter in this market.

Further down the road "Ordinary Coffee" charges 80 baht for a coffee, compared with 50 baht at Branch. However, this has the best coffee I've tasted in Jomtien. So it's worth the money. They do attract some customers.

Quite a few coffee shops seem to be rebranding into cannabis led businesses. Some of which don't open until late morning. An unfortunate trend.

Have you tried Stunning Coffee? It’s on beach road right near the entrance to the immigration soi. It’s about 75 baht for a hot latte but I go there to talk to the Thai boy who visited Arizona for a year and we talk about both our countries and other topics,
As far as the coffee goes, I have no opinion as I’m not sure what makes a good coffee.

Yes, several times.
Today, the coffee was good.
When I went last week, it was too weak, but I think that was the exception, as it's been good on previous visits.

They open some time after 10:30, so too late for my breakfast. More of a candidate for the second or third coffee of the day.
