Surely you mean a decrease due to changing demographics?

The population pyramid shows the number of people in their 20s is already below that in their 30s and 40s.
That number is set to decline further, if we look at the reduced number under 20 years old. Even if Thailand had an immediate baby boom, the number of Thai lads in their 20s is going to decline for at least another couple of decades.

That's before we even think about increasing obesity.

....... I mentioned it already long closed down in a post I wrote in 2014 : https://www.gaybuttonthai.com/viewtopic ... 210#p66210.
Thank You!

That was one of the best posts ever written and belongs in the Gay Pattaya Hall of Fame.

I remember reading that when I returned from holiday that year like it was yesterday.

Not only does it create a flood of nostalgia...but also some very precious memories of members who aren't around anymore.

Ironically 2014 was the year that I started drifting away from the bar scene...in concert with the bar scene that was drifting away from us.

Today, it's a shadow of what it used to be. That's one of the reasons I rarely bother with the bars at all anymore. Don't skip that topic, folks.
A good read! Totally nude lads in gogo bars and it goes without saying that the lads in many of those bars would be very cute.
Whereas these days, some of the Pattaya gogo bars have boys in jeans.

Perhaps that's how a resident might look at it? If you have 365 day easy availability of boys in Pattaya, the challenge of hunting where it's more difficult might be a welcome change?

True. I doubt the average holiday maker in Thailand for two or three weeks is going to be very interested in venturing out to the provinces seeking boys, although not everybody enjoys going to bars. Obviously people in Thailand for longer stays or live in Thailand are going to be much more interested in visiting the provinces both as tourists and the hunt.

I'm going to add that while these techniques work well for me when I am out in the provinces, they also work in the cities. I've had many successes over the years right here in Pattaya with boys who are not money boys and have nothing to do with bars. I've even had boys approach me, although that hasn't happened lately. However, I admit I've never had anything like that happen to me in Bangkok.

To go slightly off topic my best experiences where on Bali where I never sampled the commercial scene at all but had some very rewarding encounters. One guy called "Ketup", which means he's the fourth born son, was my room boy. He'd arrive every morning and we'd have sex then he'd make the bed and clean the room!

It's a service I wish more hotels would provide.
