The soi 12 beach (referred to as South Beach by the locals) is a hotbed of non-working boys - with plenty of gays in the mix as one would expect. If one ever to have the notion of finding a nice non-working gay boy who is just looking to have a good time this probably wouldn't be a bad place to cast a line (after 8:00 PM).

Chances are if you hookup with a boy on the apps who's been up all night partying at S beach he'll quite possibly be pumped on yaba...so caution is needed.

Why pay for sloppy seconds when you could enjoy prime rib for the cost of a bottle of 100 Pipers and a round of Chao Pad?

I have too many boys to bother finding new ones. Although it’s fun finding new ones, I might try to fit them in. And I don’t use the apps much, only to contact a regular on hornet or Romeo.

I’ve been debating whether or not to go back to my old boyfriend. Then I’m interrupted by meeting a younger sexy guy almost every evening.

As for hours they work, some have to be at their bar at a certain time, so have to plan around that. Also after midnight till two is risking a hurried rush job as some are eager to go to soi 12 beach party at two. I make sure to ask them if they are going as sometimes they’re not.

I've had trips where there were almost no new boys, mainly due to no space for them after rotating my regulars. This time, a third of them have been first timers, so far.

They have been arriving between 12:00 and 22:00. Mostly short time, as I like my sleep.
Any boy I meet would have plenty of time to get to Soi 12 before 2:00 am, although I'm sure some of my regulars rarely go there.

There's one boy I met almost 30 times. I've only once even seen him at a bar and then he was briefly drinking with 2 other Cambodians, both known (a 9 timer and a strictly once only).

I've yet to see my current favourite boy at a bar.

I guess I've been out of the local boy hunt for a long time. Until these posts I've never heard of Soi 12. I don't even know which Soi 12 you mean - the city Soi 12 or the Jomtien Soi 12?

What is so special about that particular Soi? What goes on there? How about some details for those of us who haven't a clue what you are talking about?

About 2 years ago they completed a huge beach expansion project on the southern part of Jomtien beach - which runs about a mile long starting around soi 12 along Jomtien Beach - and ending at the sea food restaurant at the very end of beach road. The new expanded beach-front now resembles the Sahara Dessert.

This almost immediately became a party-place for local Thais to gather due to its expansive beach with no concessions or concession fees. There was a problem earlier this year where they had to remove the street vendors who flocked to the area and were blocking traffic.

I travel that route frequently to-and-from Bang Saray and watched it develop. Its not uncommon to see hundreds of Thais on the beach in the wee early morning hours having sanook. Most are just normal working Thais sitting around drinking, eating, playing volleyball (a favorite of the drunk ladyboys), and always small clusters of gay boys. I've seen some working boys I know there in the early morning hours - usually mau - yaba?

I've gone there before at night with friends. Plenty of smiles. Enough said.

Quite a few of them post early morning beach photos in their profile. Often with a very nice coffee shop in the background, which gives away the location.

The lad in that photo is not known to me. Anyone who is on the beach until dawn is likely to be sleeping when I'm looking for a boy.

Gayboys and ladyboys for sure...but I've seen plenty of str8 Thais and families sitting around as well. I guess it all depends on which way the wind is blowing.

Another early morning spot the off-duty gay working boys (and ladyboys) like is at the volley ball nets at the exact opposite side of the beach which are usually setup a short distance from the rear of Pattaya Park.

This place is a hit-or-miss...again, depending on which way the wind is blowing. Watching them attempting to hit a ball over a net as mau as they usually are is hilarious. Always a cute one in the crowd...many inviting smiles as one would expect. The last time I stopped by I ran into 3 boys from M's Bar. 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM is best. After that they turn into pumpkins.

There are a few more even better places on the "Dodger Radar"- but you'll have to buy the book...555
