Trump isn't smart enough to think this through. After all, he's the one who suggested injecting disinfectant as a covid cure. I wish he'd tried it himself.

Also, for US citizens receiving income in USD and spending it abroad, well the strength of the USD is partly due to it being the reserve currency. There's nothing to be gained from the US backing entirely speculative and unregulated crypto "currencies". In the event that such actions add legitimacy to these, it weakens the position of the USD.

I'm not a US citizen. If it were my country, I'd want an intelligent and principled right wing candidate. Trump fails on both requirements.

I've got one of Trump's books from a couple of decades ago somewhere. It's appalling. He seemed to spend all day embroiled in litigation & from what I could tell, much of it was down to his attitude issues.

The Republicans ought to be ashamed of putting such a candidate forward. Again.
It's almost equivalent to electing Hitler, a few years after he was arrested for attempting to organise a Coup in Bavaria. That didn't go too well.

Having the president pro crypto would help with the bull market we’re in now. It’s becoming mainstream now with etfs and legitimate financial organizations like Fidelity and Blackrock behind it.

Yeah it competes with the reserve currency, so it’s speculative and risky long term. I’m just riding this cycle and profiting short term. I’ll be dead long term.

The four years were good under Trump. He’s a capitalist and spent about the same amount as his predecessors in office. However Biden, and this is the reason I’ve switched to support the Republicans, has out spent any administration by a mile. Which is unsustainable.

When is the last time you have voted Republican? The way you sound, probably never.
Oh man! I give up! Well, I suppose that's typical of today's Republicans - making accusations without the slightest shred of evidence to back it up.

And, by the way, I voted for Ronald Reagan and both George Bushes.

I thought leaders were supposed to do what's good for the country, rather than promote speculation ?

It’s hard to prove it was rigged, but it certainly wasn’t fair. Maybe in your biased eyes it was. I don’t trust any trials he was found guilty in. I still believe OJ Simpson was a murderer.

Anyway, my father always told me not to discuss religion or politics, I should probably follow his advice as we aren’t going to change any minds here.

True, but the only leader that helped Americans balance the budget was Bill Clinton. None of our leaders have cut spending and increased taxes in recent years, which is what we need. So if a president can help me personally, I’ll take it.

And my eyes are the ones biased? Ok . . .

I do agree with Trump about one thing - the only thing I agree with him about, and I've said so before - people who are in the USA illegally should be rounded up and deported, just like any other country, including Thailand, does. I believe those people have no right to be there, just like if I had no visa I would have no right to be living in Thailand.

I think we all know what happens to foreigners caught living in Thailand illegally. I see no reason for the USA to be any different.

Yep. Why have laws if we don’t enforce them? The border and the economy are why I’m voting republican.
