Hi. I'm new here. My laptop did a total melt down and I lost everything.... including email addresses.
Roger is an expat friend and who lives in Yensabai Condo. I would like to get back intouch with him.
If anyone knows his email address, could you send it to me privately? Thank you in advance.
I can provide more information if needed.

Re: Seeking Roger
I have no idea who Roger is, but if nothing else you have learned a bitter lesson. Always keep a backup of your most important files, especially the ones you just can't lose, and keep the backups up to date.
There are also online backup sites, but I haven't used any of them.
I keep my own backups on two flash drives. Maybe that is being over cautious, but if something happens to one flash drive I still have another copy of the backups on a second flash drive. The chances are remote that anything would happen to either of them, but I don't take the chance.

1 Quite a lot of e-mail services do have web based access, where you can often access all your old e-mails. Where I've done this, it's simply a matter of logging in with the normal e-mail password.
I believe this won't work if you've set up the e-mail to be deleted of their server once it's downloaded to your PC, but AFAIK, that's not the default setting.
2 I presume melt down = total hard drive failure and not recoverable if that drive is connected to another PC ?
My PC has an INTERNAL back up drive, to which I copy files several times a week, with a batch file.
I also have about 4 external drives which I use in sequence for full or partial backups. These are stored in 2 separate safes.

Re: Seeking Roger
Thanks to RichSilver I was able to contact my friend Roger. All is well.
After an 11 year absence I returned for a visit last March and April. Met up with two of my former boys...they moved in...and it was like I was never away. We were all older but it didn't seem to matter...so much so that I didn't miss the loss of Sunee Plaza too much. I did have a large goodbye party at Pim's Green Chair Bar...how does she survive...sad.
I came to give Pattaya one last chance to make me a retired expat. Unfortunately either me or Pattaya have changed too much. I'm not sure if at 80 I will be back.
Nevertheless, my memories of the glory days sustain me.

Pattaya's definitely changed. As Pattaya is still the best at what it does & probably by a bigger margin than before, I think we need to adapt to the changes.
I enjoyed the old gogo bar scene. However, on the other hand, I'm not completely sure I would trade the flexibility of Grindr & my contacts list on Line for a return to the gogo bar scene.
