The question is what do YOU CURRENTLY tip in Pattaya for short time.

So if you don't meet money boys, please either select the first option or don't participate. If you would like to express an opinion on what others tip, the comments section is there.

As far as tipping goes, probably not. In Pattaya tipping between 1000-1500 for short time will work just fine. I would add 500 to 1000 for overnight.

One other thing to keep in mind - no matter what you may buy for the boy, what restaurant you take him to, or anything else - he is still going to expect the full tip amount - unless he tells you different.

I also remind people they should not be looking for the least amounts they can get away with to give to the boys considering the boys are the main reason many gays go to Thailand in the first place.

In Bangkok you can probably add 1000 or more to the Pattaya prices. In other areas and other cities, I have no idea, probably similar amounts that work in Pattaya. Bangkok is probably more expensive than anywhere else in Thailand, but Jun's poll is specific to Pattaya.

1000-1200 for ST in Pattaya. Same as I have paid all the years here. Very rarely do a barboy or freelancer insist on more.

I usually pay 1000 for ST, be it online or from bars. I have been doing so since I first came here in 2010, and rarely get a refusal. Most or all are willing to repeat. I don't go to places that quote a higher tip (Toy Boys).

Deviations from 1000 are offering 800 to test the market when a boy is very eager to meet but I'm not horny, but have spare time. Two such cases since 2021. I have one boy I tip 1500 because he stands out from all others. After I have met a boy a few times for 1000 each, I give a bonus of 500.

I tip about 1500 short time. The lowest was 800, but I knew he was older and met on the street. I had his contact but he deleted me from line, as I didn’t call him back.

I want to find him again as he suits one of my kinks well. I’ll have to hang around Boystown near closing time. That’s where I met him.

I probably averaged about 7,000 or 8,000 a day( long time) with my last twink. But that’s adding in the phone, gold and extra cash I gave him. It was a onetime thing probably, as I hit big in crypto, so I splurged on him, lucky for him.

I’ll probably give 1500 on average when I return later this year.

I hope you find him again as you hope, but you were wise not to keep contact with him. If you had, the pleas for money likely would start coming and never stop. I've learned the hard way that whenever I have financially helped a boy, no matter how much I give him it's never enough. The pleas for money just keep coming. Sooner or later you either have to put an end to it or go broke, and putting an end to it can be very difficult if it is a situation where you have been sending money, but now have to cut it off. It's a lot easier if you're not sending money in the first place.

I always recommend cutting contact when the time comes to return home. Enjoy it while you're in Thailand. If it's a boy you really like and spent a good deal of time with him, give him a good amount of money when it's time to say goodbye, but leave it at that. Don't give him any of your contact information. If you do, that's where the trouble starts.

If you want to find the same boy next trip, and successfully locate him, that's great. If you don't find him, there will be plenty of others and chances are very good you will find a young gent you like even more.

But don't fall into the money trap.

Not only do good tips help the LGBTQ scenes survive - but, on a somewhat selfish note, they also help ensure that you receive great service as well. Remembering that a "tip" is not just intended to thank the boy for his service - but it also increases the chances of his service in he future being great as well. Being generous in Thai culture carries a lot of weight.

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is how fast the "word" spreads regarding punters tipping habits. Not only do the working boys know most punters tipping habits, but they know everything else including his sexual preferences, likes and dislikes, what class of person he is, e.g., jai dee or bad karma, his potential as a repeat client, right down to the size of his penis.

If you're a lower-than-average tipper, or poor tipper, believe me they all know it. And from my experience it's always the punters who have below-average tipping habits who also have the longest list of sexual demands that they bludgeon the boys with. Go figure!

My advice...don't be cheap ...be generous (not to be confused with stupid) and enjoy the rewards.

That is quite true. The grapevine is truly impressive. And not confined to just one bar. In my experience, if the boys in one bar know, the boys in all the bars know, sometimes the same night, but for sure within a day or two.
