I had the impression that this was an up-market short-time hotel. I remember years ago in Bangkok seeing hotels with car-parks hidden by curtains where stressed business men (and politicians , no doubt) could spend a long lunch-break in comfortable surroundings with a mia noi or some other interesting company. The car would drive-up into one of the parking lots and a bell-boy would run out and draw the curtains to conceal it from wives and, presumably, other girl-friends.

I miss Howard's. I spent many a pleasant evening in the lobby with the boys that were there. No need to go anywhere else in those days. The rooms were not marvelous, but were perfectly acceptable and always clean. Punya was the perfect host!

I too miss Howards! It was at the right place at the right time.
Always some farang sitting in front to ask questions. Lobby full of boys. Many stopped by after the bars closed. Easy to eye catch some passing guy in front.
