Post by Maple »

John Moore died in his sleep at his Yensabai Condo residence in South Pattaya, Thailand around March 20, 2017, although he was found and officially pronounced deceased on March 22, 2017. Known by his friends affectionately as "The Admiral", he spent 20 years in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of commander. He also worked 10 years with an advertising firm in New York City and later as an English language teacher with worldwide assignments. Born on May 9, 1939, he hailed from Florence, South Carolina. John was an avid reader and world traveler who loved to go on international cruises. Before moving to Thailand, he lived in South Carolina, Columbia (South America), and Tunisia. He was active in the Pattaya City Expats Club, the VFW, and St. George's Anglican Church. At his family’s request, his body was flown home to South Carolina for burial in the family plot. Bon voyage, John. You will be missed.
