I took my Thai friend to Chiang Mai this week. The temperature was perfect for me, but he claimed he could never live in a place that was so cold.

Yes thanks...that's the place. We had a great time at the temple and at the gardens. In fact, I think that the view of the city is better than at Doi Suthep even if the temple itself is not quite as remarkable.
