Monday is Loy Kratong. While the holiday will be subdued - no fireworks, beach parties, or other festivities, people will still be able to float their Kratongs and participate in other subdued activities.

My section at Dongtan beach will be serving drink, food (buffet) as in the past but I am sure it will be more subdued. I am sure other sections will do the same. Yesterday all the chairs were full.

I've just received my boyfriend's photos of Loy Krathong in his village south of Kamphaeng Phaet. It happened....but more quietly than usual. I'd have loved to have been there with him.
