I have received the following from a friend here in Pattaya...
"Do you know of a second hand paperback book store. They had one over Tops on 2nd Rd but it's gone. There was one at the Dolphin roundabout but that too is gone. Somebody said there was one around Friendship market on South Pattaya Rd; I looked but nothing."
I do not know of one but told him I would post and ask.
Second Hand Bookstore

Re: Second Hand Bookstore
There was a thread on similar subject a while ago where I posted all 2nd hand bookshops I now.
The one at Dolphin roundabout (South-East of) is back, although much smaller and irregular opening times.

Here is the post I was referring to:

and that's what I wrote there:

(Shows once more that such stuff is better presented in a blog or a wiki instead of a forum, where posts go to oblivion after some months and the same questions are asked and the same subjects discussed year after year with little new information. Similar threads elsewhere show that there is a general interest, and one day in the distant future I might visit all second hand bookshops and make a detailed post.)Re: Thais 4 Life Bookstore

Just had a look at Second Hand Books South Pattaya Road Soi 20.
The owner took over many books from Thais4life. Together, we came up with the following list of 2nd hand book shops in Pattaya:
Second Hand Books South Pattaya Road Soi 20 http://pattayasecondhandbooks.com/
Canterbury tales in Soi Bua Khao / Chaloemprakiat Soi 25 (parallel to Soi Lengkee) http://www.canterburytalescafe.com/
J&K Books near Dolphin Rounabout (south-west corner, just behind the restaurant in the open space) (no website that I know of)
edit: gayboutton found their facebook
https://www.facebook.com/pages/JK-book- ... 3914714015
Jagger's German Bookshop (near Batman Building), only German language books (no website that I know of)
Star Books (east of Sukhumvit, Soi Khao Noi) http://www.starbookworm.com/
bookshop in Chayapruek Soi 1 near beach

I seem to recall there is a very good inexpensive Italian restaurant on one of those streets with several of the bookshops.PeterUK wrote:The best place for secondhand bookshops, without a doubt, is Chiang Mai. I make special trips just to stock up on books. There are six within easy walking distance of the Thapae Gate.
