VOD (Video On Demand) & Internet Radio

Post by DeE »

I know Internet radio has been around for a while but I never cared for it because the sound quality wasn’t all that and would often cut off due to the slow internet speeds. Now with a computer with 4 Gigabytes of Ram and fiber optics at my home, I have re-visited the internet radio and wow, just wow.

Sound quality is a lot better than it was 5 or 6 years ago and very rarely do I get disconnected. I know there are hundreds of internet stations available but one of my favorites is: 181.com.

Another little jewel I have re-visited is something called VOD. (Video on demand) I am not sure if it’s the same concept as the TOR sites or Nexflex, but it is an on demand system---no downloading as far as I know.

The VOD site is called ilikeHD. It has 3 packages available for about 350b per package per month. You simply buy a “True Money coupon” from the 7-11 and put the pin number (code) in the site and away you go.

They have a promotion if you buy one package you get a second package for 100b off.
I choose the live TV and then the next day added VOD (video on demand) for a total of 550b.

You do need to provide an email address to sign-in.

Here is the link for ilikeHD video on demand: https://secure.ilikehd.com/heimdall-GUI/login.php

And for the 181.com the link is: http://www.181.fm

GB: If this is already covered on your site, please delete. But for me it’s all new and exciting.

Disclaimer: I have a decent med range stereo system (Yamaha) so maybe that’s why the free radio site sounds good and the VOD (video on demand audio) is excellent and I also have fiber optics running at 12 mbps so your mileage may vary with the sound quality and streaming.

Please share any other sites that some of us (that are 5 years behind times) may enjoy.

Cheers…

I don't remember whether we've had a topic about this, but it's good information. I see no reason to delete your post.
